Abstract

PT Entri Jaya Makmur Surakarta is a company engaged in the manufacturing of hospital furniture and suppliers of medical devices and public and private hospital transportation. The purpose of this study is to discuss the potential hazards that are saved from the production process, reduce the risk of work accidents by providing safety and risk alternatives. Discussion of the results of the discussion and data processing used in this study using the HIRARC (Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control) method for hazard utilization, risk evaluation and risk control. To appreciate the expected risk with an additional method, the BSI (British Standard Institution) method. The results of calculations using the HIRARC method produce that there are 29 potential hazards from 17 work activities with the results of the calculation of 1 very high risk, 9 high risk (high risk), 2 moderate risk (moderate risk), 16 low risk (low risk)), 1 risk very low (very low risk). To take out risks when facing potential hazards by using machines that use standards, making company SOPs, making company warning signs, providing personal protective equipment (PPE), and increasing workers' wages for changing requirements.
