Abstract

This study aims to analyze the condition and value chain of the Broiler Industry in Jenar District, Sragen Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data sources are observations and interviews with informants. Informants were 4 chicken farms in Jenar District, Sragen Regency. The results of this study concluded that (1) The distribution channel of broiler farms in Jenar District, Sragen Regency was started from breeders and then bought by partners. (2) The main activities of the value chain (value chain) in chicken farms in the District of Jenar Sragen Regency include: Purchasing basic materials and main equipment such as chicken breeds (DOC), Vitamins, Vaccines, feed, and cage equipment, Animal husbandry processes, including providing eat, give a drink, give vaccines and vitamins, and sell broiler chickens ready for harvest by depositing it to the company or partners. (3) The biggest added value is good quality chicken seedlings (price IDR 7400 / head), and feed (price IDR 8300 / kg). Value added can be known from the price of each ingredient there are about 30-50% of the added value produced. (4) The results of the analysis of the total cost of raw and auxiliary materials incurred by broiler breeders in a period of one harvest, first with a capacity of 3500 birds valued at Rp 150,629,975, the second of 1600 chickens valued at Rp 56,025,000, the third is the capacity of 1500 chickens worth Rp 40,018,500, and the fourth is the capacity of 1500 chickens reaching a total cost of Rp 47,208,641. (5) Analysis of the differences in the income of the four respondents is the raw material used. (6) Workers are 2 male workers with a cost of Rp. 40,000–80,000 / labor in 1 working day. (7) Losses incurred during the previous year's harvest period / period were not experienced by the company. Because the cooperation that occurs between the two parties, is a contractual cooperation in which all chickens harvested by breeders are purchased by a partnership at a price agreed upon at the beginning.
