Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The forms of bullying in SD Negeri 04 Kemiri. 2) The teacher's role in bullying in SD Negeri 04 Kemiri. 3) The way teachers deal with bullying at SD Negeri 04 Kemiri. 4) Barriers experienced by teachers in handling bulliying cases in students at SD Negeri 04 Kemiri. 5) Teacher's solution in handling bulliying cases for students in SD Negeri 04 Kemiri. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative, this research informant is a teacher from grade 1 to grade 5 as well as the perpetrators and victims class 1 to grade 5. Data collection techniques in-depth interviews, documentation, and field notes. Interative data analysis by data reduction, data copying, data collection, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking techniques using triangulation. The results showed 1) The forms of bulliying that occurred in elementary school were physical bullying, bulliying ferbal, and psychological bulliying. 2) The role of the teacher towards bulliying in elementary school as a person who guides, advises and directs and fosters students so that they can overcome the problems that occur and neutralize bulliying that occurs in schools. 3) The way to overcome bulliying is calling students, advising students, guiding students, fostering students, giving punishment and calling students' parents. 4) Barriers that occur are easy for students to repeat bulliying behavior and not all bulliying cases can be known by the teacher. 5) The teacher's solution in dealing with providing awareness about bulliying in a firm and consistent manner as well as, providing better support to victims and perpetrators, and carrying out prevention and inculcation of character as early as possible.
