Abstract

ABSTRACT Tita Yosita Setiana J410150105 DESCRIPTION OF FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM IN PT. PLN (PERSERO) IMPLEMENTATION OF SURAKARTA CUSTOMER SERVICE UNIT Xiv + 85 pages + 44 attachments Fires occur because of excessive exposure to oxygen reaction by heat energy, causing objects around the fire source to burn. PT. PLN Surakarta's Customer Service Implementation Unit as an electricity company has a different risk of fire in the handling system of each building. This is very risky because it has not implemented a fire prevention system and does not yet have a K3 Expert in Fire Management. The design of this study was descriptive using a cross-sectional approach with observational methods on the object of research and interviews on research subjects. Data collection was carried out by observation on 4 floors including rescue facilities, active protection systems and passive protection systems. In addition, interviews were conducted at the fire prevention unit. The results of the study will be compared with the KEPMENAKER reference standard No. 186 of 1999, building inspection buildings regarding fire safety (Pd-T-11-2005-C) and PERMENAKER No. 4 of 1980. This study shows that the fire prevention system at PT. PLN Surakarta Customer Service Implementation Unit in the category of good coping handling unit. K3 expert on fire prevention does not exist. Exit and exit signs are in good category, there is no emergency lighting, and a hazard warning system is on the 1st floor. Passive protection systems do not exist. There are no springkel, fire pumps exist and are installed with hydrants, detectors and fire alarms in good categories, APAR consists of 14 good categories and 8 adequate categories. PT. PLN Surakarta's Customer Service Implementation Unit in the fire prevention system is not in accordance with KEPMENAKER reference standard No. 186 of 1999, building inspection on fire safety (Pd-T-11-2005-C) and PERMENAKER No. 4 of 1980.
