Abstract

The main objective is that students can know the material of the Watershed (DAS) which is associated with remote sensing and disaster material, as well as knowing the effectiveness of developing enrichment books in class X at Colomadu High School. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) with a modification of the Borg and Gall model. The design of this study uses Pre-test and Post-test Control Design questions with class X IPS 2 and X IPS 3 respondents. Data analysis techniques used the T-test and N-Gain Score. The results showed that 1) the final product evaluation by respondents namely enrichment book learning media, found the average value of 4.3 subject teachers and 4.7 students, with an average of 4.5. Based on the Likert scale category the book appraisal has a "Good" rating category. Teacher assessment was based on a questionnaire while product assessment of students is based on the experimental class. 2) Hypothesis results obtained from paired sample t-test results in hypothesis decision making namely H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, meaning that there is a significant difference in the increase in learning outcomes of class X students. the average increase in learning outcomes used the N-Gain test score obtained in the control class is 0.41 and the experimental class was 0.67. The learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class had a difference of 0.26. It can be concluded that the enrichment book learning media that researchers developed was quite effective so that it can improve learning outcomes.
