Abstract

Variation can be defined as differences in language forms like this and others. In that case the variation or variety of languages is seen as a result of the social diversity of the speakers of the language and the social diversity of the speakers of the language and the diversity of the functions of the language. The purpose of this study are 1) Describe the use of Indonesian by community speakers in Sumberjosari village, Grobogan Regency 2) Describe the form of language variation used by community speakers in Sumberjosari village, Grobogan Regency 3) Describe the factors that cause the use of language variations in the village Sumberjosari, Grobogan Regency 4) Describe the appropriateness of the use of Indonesian language in Sumberjosari village, Grobogan Regency when applied during the Indonesian language learning process at school. This research was conducted in Sumberjosari village, Grobogan Regency. Research is a type of qualitative research with a case study research design that aims to explain the research process that is being carried out. Data collection techniques used in this study using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique in this study uses an interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicate that 1) the use of Indonesian by community speakers in Sumberjosari village, Grobogan Regency includes two language uses, namely the use of mixed language code speech and the use of less effective language. 2) forms of language variation used by community speakers in Sumberjosari village, Grobogan Regency include variations in the language of ideolects, dialects and sociolects. 3) the use of language variations by the people in Sumberjosari Village, Grobogan Regency is influenced by several factors including; The setting in which the communication takes place, the topics discussed, respect for speech partners and the limitations of linguistics 4) Speech Acts in the use of Indonesian Language in Sumberjosari Village, Grobogan Regency uses a mixture of Indonesian, Javanese and English languages.
