Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts made by schools to realize quality accounting learning techniques in Vacational High School 6 Surakarta. This type of research is a qualitative research with ethnographic design. The subjects of this study were deputy principals, accounting teachers and students of accounting class XI Vacational High School 6 Surakarta totaling 13 respondents. The object of this study is Vacational High School 6 Surakarta. Data collection techniques used include, interview, observation and documentation. To guarantee the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation and triangulation techniques. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions or verification. The results of this study indicate that the efforts of schools in realizing quality accounting learning techniques is to provide consultation and advice and provide adequate infrastructure to support teacher learning so that they can always work optimally. The steps taken by the teacher are by doing cooperative learning STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) so that students can be active in the classroom, applying learning strategies based on CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) to invite students to an activity that links academic material with life context day-to-day., the use of instructional media in the learning process, as well as the evaluation of learning.
