Abstract

Exchange rates are the prices of currencies used by residents of these countries to trade with one another. The purpose of this study is to calculate the direction and magnitude of the influence of interest rates, inflation, money supply and GDP on the rupiah exchange rate in Indonesia 1990 - 2017. In this study, to analyze the influence of interest rates, inflation, money supply and gross domestic product (GDP) on the exchange rate, a Partial Adjusment Model (PAM) regression analysis tool was used with the econometrics model. This study uses time series data for the period 1990 - 2017. In this study, data on interest rates, inflation, money supply and GDP were obtained from the official website of the Central Statistics Agency, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The result of the research is the classical assumption test shows that the model passes all the variables Interest Rates, Inflation, Money Supply (JUB) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the Model Goodness Test, the model used in this study exists or the variable Interest Rates, Inflation , The Amount of Money Supply (JUB) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) jointly affect the Rupiah Exchange Rate in Indonesia in 1990-2017, the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9808874, meaning 98.08% variation in the variable rupiah exchange rate can be explained by variable variations in Interest Rates, Inflation, Money Supply (JUB) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). With R2 equal to 0.9808874, it means that the model has a high predictability, the influence validity test (t test) shows that the four variables have a significant influence, namely, the Interest Rate, Inflation, the Amount of Money Supply (JUB) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on the rupiah exchange rate in Indonesia, Interest Variable, Inflation, the Amount of Money Supply (JUB) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) have a significant effect on the rupiah exchange rate in Indonesia.
