Abstract

Logung Dam is a reservoir located in Central Java province that has the function of serving the needs of irrigation water, providing raw water supply, preventing flooding, as a power plant and becoming one of the tourist destinations in Kudus Regency. Considering the important function of the Logung dam, Logung dam must be designed safely. This study seeks to analyze the safety of the Logung reservoir from flooding in 1000 years and PMF floods. In the study of the safety of the Logung dam against floods, rain data analysis is first performed and then flood tracking is carried out using two methods namely Newton Rapshon and Runge Kutta Orde III methods. From the calculation results, it is found that the Logung dam is safe from flood design with a percentage of flood attenuation based on the Newton Rapshon method for 1000 years return floods of 86.62% and flood of PMF 85.07%. The attenuation based on the Runge Kutta Order III method for floods during the 1000 years return period based on the Runge Kutta Order III method was 69.12% and the PMF flood was 66.52%.
