Abstract

One component of education that is able to improve learning is teaching materials and one of them is enrichment books. The purposed of this study was (1) to develop teaching materials for enrichment books on disaster mitigation materials and (2) to find out the improvement of student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. This study was a research and development techniques used ADDIE model. The research design used One Group Pretest-Postest with 23 respondents in class XI IPS of senior high school of Muhammadiyah 3 Watukelir. The sample in this study is a type of saturated sample that uses the entire population used as a sample. Data collection methods used was observation, questionnaire, test and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is the paired sampel T-test Test analysis technique. The results of the study resulted in: (1) disaster adaptation and mitigation enrichment book with a size of 20 cm x 21 cm with a product worthiness of material experts of 4.6 and media experts of 4.8 so that the average feasibility value was 4.7 which included in the "GOOD" category. While the results of the evaluation conducted by students have a feasibility value of 4.4 and of the teacher of 4 with an average of the second of 4.2 which falls into the "GOOD" category. (2) The increase in cognitive learning outcomes can be seen from the average results of the pretest, which is 46.09, an increase in the posttest average results, which is 86.52. This result was also supported by the analysis of the T test (T-test) of pretest and posttest data which shows a significant value of 0,000 <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha was accepted which means there was differences in student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain after using adaptation enrichment teaching materials and disaster mitigation by those who do not use teaching materials for enrichment adaptation and disaster mitigation books.
