Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the dynamics of psychological well-being in blind sensory disabilty with non-genetic in the Rumah Pelayanan Sosial Disabilitas Netra Bhakti Candrasa Surakarta. This study uses a qualitative-phenomenology method by selecting informants using a purposive sampling method. The informants in this study were non-genetic visual impairments at the Netra Bakti Candrasa Surakarta Social Disability Home Service, which numbered five people. The results of the study indicate that it can be concluded that psychological well-being in non-genetic masters can be seen in six forms, namely self-acceptance, positive relationships, independence or autonomy, environmental mastery, life goals and personal development. Factors affecting the psychological well-being of the subject are oneself, family, religion, RPS, fellow blind friends, school friends, community or neighbors, education and the economy. The impact of psychological well-being found in research after classification includes enthusiasm, independence, religiosity, happiness, self-confidence, discipline, motivation, education, emotional control and life expectancy.
