Abstract

Background: Futsal and basketball are high-intensity intermittent sports. Futsal and basket have almost the same characteristics, but the intensity of the game it self is different. This difference in intensity makes physiological needs different between this sports. Method: This study use descriptive comparative research methods with cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 31 people. Samples that meet the specified inclusion and exclusion criteria are 26 people. The measurement of VO2 Max use Multi Stage Fitness Test. Result: The analytic test used for this study is the mann-whitney. The mann-whitney test for VO2max difference obtain Asymp. value (Sig. (2-tailed) 0.021 <α: 0.05) Conclusion: There is a difference on VO2max Value between futsal players and basketball.
