Abstract

Abstract Developing a snack product means having to increase the value of the product through improvements in packaging, taste, shape, price and durability. Raising the product value can be done by value engineering methods. Value engineering methods are divided into five stages, namely: the information stage, the creative stage, the evaluation stage, the development stage and the implementation phase. Developing broccoli chips using value engineering in this study produced one alternative design of the best broccoli chips from 120 product designs that could be raised. The results of this study indicate that the best product design has a performance value of 147,473 with a production cost of Rp. 5380. The design consists of spicy flavor and spicy flavor combined with other flavors, paper packaging coated with aluminum foil in it, with concept 1 packaging design, and prices below Rp. 10,000, with durability> 6 Months. The results of this study were then implemented in Sholeh Putra Grup UKM to be produced and circulated in the market. Keywords: chips, broccoli, products, value engineering
