Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies and programs and implementation of the GLS program, the impact of GLS, inhibiting and supporting factors and solutions. This study uses qualitative descriptive techniques of collecting data on observation, interviews, and document review. Data analysis uses milles and huberman models while, data validity test is done by source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results this study include the GLS strategy, a. namely providing a comfortable library, b. procuring a collection of books, c. requiring students, d. making wall magazines, e. parents facilitating books, f. participating in literacy. Management of the procurement, a. collections of library books, b. reflection, c, library visits, d, reading fondness, e, reading corners, f. authorship of school mading. The impact of GLS includes increased reading ability, GLS alignment with K-13, increased linguistics and character formation. Program supporting factors include obedience to the Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of Education and Culture Number 23 Year 2015, adequate physical facilities, collection of books, and reading corners, APBS, the presence of posters, mading, slogans supporting the school environment's literacy culture. GLS inhibiting factors, among others: Not teachers have accompanied when reading activities, the lack of containers and the introduction of literacy culture, limited time.
