Abstract

Electricity is one of the basic needs in the present era. Electricity needs in the future increase along with the increase and development of both the number of investments, population, technological developments and others. One of the energy that can be developed is wind energy , wind energy can be used as an electric energy generator, which is known as Bayu Power Plant (PLTB). The PLTB component consists of wind turbines, generators and batteries. The generator used in this topic is permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) 12 slot 8 pole, the generator is a g enerator that can produce micro- scale electricity . The purpose of this study is to find out the comparison of the efficiency of the material contained in the generator using the Finite Element Method (FEM) Software namely electromagnetic component modeling and analysis using Ma gNet 7.5 software, the data obtained from the software will be th e source of data to be analyzed, so that it can be known efficiency comparison of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) material 12 slots 8 pole. Magnet is one of the core ingredients in the generator, in this simulation the magnet becomes the independent variable, so there are several experiments to change the magnetic material, namely PM12 : Br 1.2 myrrh 1.0, Nd F e B: Neod y mium I ron Boron, and Samarium Cobalt 26/ 26, with additional variations RPM and load on the generator.
