Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the concept of Community Based Education (CBE) in the Mathematics Village of Bandardawung Village, 2) find out the implementation of CBE for elementary school students in the Mathematics Village of Bandardawung village, 3) find out the community's role in organizing CBE for elementary school students in Kampung Bandardawung village mathematics. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research with field research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is tested by triangulation. As well as data analysis techniques, namely reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are 1) The CBE concept in Mathematics Village is a community-based education model that was inaugurated on May 2, 2019 by the Karanganyar Regent Yuliatmono and has a similar concept to the free mathematics tutoring for elementary students in Bandardawung village and is divided into 12 study groups , 2) CBE implementation for elementary students in Mathematics Village is held once a week on Saturdays, followed by elementary students and educators who have teaching qualifications, 3) Community participation can be seen from planning and shaping programs, providing services, providing funding, and following running the program and giving an evaluation.
