Abstract

The objectif of this study is to describe how Nora achieved her existence reflected in the drama A Doll's House and to find out the impact of Nora's subjectivity reflected in the drama A Doll's House. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. The type of data in drama A Doll's House contains words, phrases, and sentences used to analyze the game. The primary data source from this study was the drama A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen which was published in 1879. Secondary data sources were taken from other sources related to this study; can be in the form of articles, websites, journals, biographies of writers and several books related to research. The data analysis technique used in this researcher uses an existentialism approach and applies it using descriptive analysis regarding several interpretations related to the game. The results of this study show that Nora achieved her presence reflected in the drama A Doll's House. After a problem occurred between Nora and her husband about how Nora got money for her husband's care, she was late. Nora began to realize that for eight years she was no longer under her husband's control, she did not like her husband who always considered him stupid and could not make an attitude other than being a submissive, sweet, beautiful, and spoiled wife. Nora decides to end her marriage, and finds her freedom as a human, she feels marriage is nothing more than a world of fantasy or games that makes her not recognize her. The impact on the existence of Nora's subjectivity is reflected in the drama A Doll's House. The aesthetic stage of Nora's character is shown by the attitude of Nora who does not care about the words of the person when she must be in debt. Nora also never cared about what other people said. This attitude shows that Nora actualizes her life related to her courage in making new choices personally and subjectively. The aesthetic stage in the figure of Nora's compilation occurred, when she made the decision to leave the house that had been occupied so far. The stage of religious existence in Nora's character is a questionable compilation of households, at first Nora was very hopeful that it would happen and everything would be fine, but on the other hand she would realize that she would still be blamed. Then he realized that he had to leave because I knew that would make him very worried.
