Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how hybrid shapes can form. The research method is the agih method, which is a data analysis that determines precisely the part of the language in question itself, to analyze the formation of words found on Instagram social media, which will then be analyzed based on hybrid forms. According to Sukmadinata (2011: 73), qualitative descriptive research is aimed at describing and describing existing phenomena, both natural and human engineering, which pay more attention to the characteristics, quality, interrelationships between activities. Based on an analysis of 15 data collected , word formation into words hybrid forms occur in verb words, this is caused by the use of nge prefixes more often used in verb form words. It was concluded that the formation of the word hybrid form is inseparable from the community in using everyday language to communicate. The tendency of people to use words that are short or minimal, but still understood in everyday communication, both oral and written, encourages the emergence of hybrid word formation phenomena. In fact humans are living beings and social beings, so that humans will move and communicate, in communicating this is how humans describe the motion (activities) they do with the word hybrid form that is a verb which is then followed by affixation from another language, it is not surprising if the word changes most hybrid forms occur in verb phrases or verbs, namely phrases that describe an activity.
