Abstract

This study aims to describe and find out the extent of PGSD students' readiness in carrying out guidance and counseling services in elementary schools. PGSD students' readiness in this study covers in terms of theory and attitude (practice). This type of research is qualitative descriptive, with final year PGSD UMS student research subjects. Data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation techniques.The validity of the data using triangulation techniques. Data analysis technique is done through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the readiness of PGSD students in carrying out guidance and counseling services in terms of theory was good with a percentage of 60% in accordance with the learning achievements of knowledge counseling services in elementary schools, namely (P7) mastering the concepts and techniques of guidance services in primary schools, (P8) mastering the characteristics students who face problems and understand their types and their causes, and (P11) master counseling techniques to help overcome personal problems in elementary school and in terms of attitude (practice) was good with a percentage of 60% in accordance with the learning outcomes of counseling services in elementary schools, namely (M2) Analyzing counseling techniques to help overcome problems private elementary problems.
