Abstract

This research is about repetitive movements of operators of bare core manufacturing in Cipta Mandiri UKM with additional factors that affect operator performance, the Occupational Repetitive Action (OCRA) method is used to determine how much risk occurs in the right and left hand due to repetitive movements. This research was conducted on six work stations, namely cutting stations, surface planner 1, surface planner 2, gangrip, sorting, and conveyor. Based on the calculation results obtained OCRA index is a cutting station of 30.72 (Right Hand) and 7.899 (Left Hand), surface planner 1 of 21,656 (Right Hand) and 21,656 (Left Hand), surface planner 2 of 10.968 (Right Hand) and 14,625 ( Left Hand), a gang of 31,626 (Right Hand) and 11,937 (Left Hand), sorting at 19,426 and 20,101 (Left Hand), conveyor at 10,358 (Right Hand) and 6,773 (Left Hand). From these results the right hand is in the red zone which means high, the left hand is in the red high zone and medium red. Activities carried out by the operator are not balanced in using both hands. So as to provide recommendations for improvements with the addition of rest periods on one shift and provide suggestions for improvement of work stations. The results obtained from the recommendations are a decrease in the six work stations which is equal to 14.3%, and provides recommendations for actions of operator activities that do work must be balanced. .Keywords: OCRA index, repeated, right hand, UKM Cipta Mandiri
