Abstract

ABSTRAK IRMA YULIHASTUTI J 310 050 018 HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT KONSUMSI MAKANAN DENGAN STATUS YODIUM PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR ( WUS) DI DESA SELO KECAMATAN SELO KABUPATEN BOYOLALI JAWA TENGAH. Pendahuluan: Masalah Gangguan Akibat Kekurangan Yodium (GAKY) merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang serius. Kelompok masyarakat yang sangat rawan terhadap dampak defisiensi iodium adalah wanita usia subur (WUS). Faktor risiko GAKY di antaranya adalah faktor geografis, konsumsi makanan, garam yang dikonsumsi, status sosial ekonomi, pengetahuan. Untuk mengetahui kecukupan yodium pada wanita usia subur adalah dengan menggunakan pemeriksaan kadar Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat konsumsi makanan (energi, protein, yodium) dengan status yodium pada Wanita Usia Subur Di Desa Selo Kecamatan Selo Kabupaten Boyolali Jawa Tengah. Metode penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 24 dipilih secara acak. Data konsumsi makanan (energi, protein, yodium) dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan metode recall 3x24 jam dan pengambilan sampel selanjutnya diukur kadar TSHnya dengan metode ELISA tes. Analisis data dengan korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil : Berdasarkan analisis univariat didapatkan jumlah konsumsi energi dan protein subjek tergolong defisit berat secara berturut-turut yaitu 83,3%, 70,8% sementara konsumsi yodium subjek masih kurang yaitu 62,5%. Berdasarkan uji statistik dapat diketahui bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat konsumsi makanan (masing-masing energi, protein dan yodium) dengan status yodium wanita usia subur (WUS), dengan nilai p berturut-turut 0,215; 0,809 dan 0,889. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena adanya faktor lain seperti konsumsi selenium (Se), besi (Fe), seng (Zn), Vitamin A Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat konsumsi makanan (energy, protein, yodium) dengan status yodium wanita usia subur di Desa Selo Kecamatan Selo Kabupaten Boyolali Jawa Tengah. ABSTRACT IRMA YULIHASTUTI J 310 050 018 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEVEL OF FOOD CONSUMPTION WITH IODINE STATUE OF CHILD BEARING AGE WOMEN (CBAW) IN SELO VILLAGE, SELO SUB-DISTRICT, BOYOLALI REGENCY, CENTRAL JAVA. Background : Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD) is one serious community health problem. Community group which is very vulnerable to impact of IDD is CBAW Risk factor of IDD are geographic, salt consumption, food consumption, social economic status and knowledge factor. To see the iodine status of CBAW, test of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) level was implemented. Objective : The objective of this study was to measure relationship between level of food consumption (energy, protein, iodine) with iodine status of child bearing age women (CBAW) in Selo Village, Selo District, Boyolali, Central Java. Research methods : This research used observational research with crossectional approach. There were 24 subject selected randomly. Food consumption (energy, protein, iodine) was collected using interview technique with recall method 3 x 24 hour and level of TSH measured by colleted blood sample and tested with ELISA. The data were then analyzed with pearson- product moment correlation test. Result : Based on univariat analysis, level of energy and protein consumption were classified as heavy deficit, 83,3% and 70,8% respectively, where as iodine consumption was categorited low, i.e 62,5%. Based on statistic test , it can be seen that there is no significant relationship between level of food consumption (energy, protein, iodine ) with iodine status of child bearing age women, with p value of 0,215 ; 0,809 and 0,889 respectively. This phenomenon occured probably due to other factors like selenium (Se), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), and vitamin A consumption. Conclusion: Based on the result it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between level of food consumption (energy, protein, iodine) with iodine status of child bearing age women.
