Abstract

Based on BKKBN survey in 2017, the area of Central Java Province recorded more then 50% ofactive family planning users who complained of adverse drugs reactions amount of 3,721,993 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the Adverse Drugs Reactions of the use of hormonal contraception and actions when adverse drug reactions occur by users of hormonal contraception in Sarang I Health Center, Sarang District, Rembang Regency, Central Java in 2018. This type of research is non-experimental (observational) research using analytical methods descriptive. The technique used is non-probability (purposive sampling). The technique of collecting data uses questionnaires and control cards. Amount of subject set was 126 samples of hormonal contraceptive users. The results of the analysis from the study showed that there were adverse drugs reactions in each injectable contraceptive use with amount of users (78 people), pills (25 people) and implantables (23 people). The sampling criteria are hormonal contraceptive users who are willing to be respondents and users a hormonal contraception that has been using contraception >2 months. The highest percentage of adverse drug reactions to the use of injectable contraceptives, pills, and implants that have been obtained indicates an increase in body weight. Injection contraception (82.1%), pills (52.0%), and implant (65.2%). The highest percentage of injectable, pill, and implant contraceptive users, actions taken conducted showed that the user allowed complaints of side effects to heal on their own, with percentage of injectable (76.9%), pills (36.0%), and implants (60.9%).
