Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) Soft skill values instilled in students in accounting learning at Surakarta Batik 1 Vocational School. 2) How is the process of planting soft skills values in accounting learning at Surakarta Batik 1 Vocational School. 3) Constraints and things that support students' soft skills in accounting learning at Surakarta Batik 1 Vocational School. The subjects in this study were Accounting Teachers named Ibu Siti Romlah, S.Pd, M.Sc. and class X Accounting students at Batik 1 SMK in Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative, with descriptive qualitative methods using ethnographic design. Data processing techniques in this study are observation, interview, and documentation, and data wetness test using technique triangulation. The results showed that: 1) It was found that the values of soft skills were instilled in the Surakarta Batik 1 Vocational School, namely the values of honesty, hard work, responsibility, confidence, and creativity. 2) The process of instilling soft skill values at Surakarta Batik 1 Vocational School, namely a) Involving students to be active in learning activities such as self-confidence to express opinions; b) The teacher raises student motivation by giving a plus to students so that they are motivated to be more active in learning activities; c) Familiarize students for discipline, responsibility, communicative, thorough and creative in working on the problem, and can be in time management. 3) Constraints in instilling soft skill values in students at Surakarta Batik 1 Vocational School, namely a) There are still students who see answers from their friends while working on reports; b) There are still students who often do not enter; c) While working on the problem there are still students who have not completed their work. While the supporting factors in instilling soft skills values are support from the school by holding extracurricular activities and collaborating among school members well for mutual respect, mutual understanding, and mutual support.
