Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematical learning activities in number theory courses. This research was conducted in class 2.A of Mathematics Education in the Teaching and Education Faculty of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Data collection methods used in this study were tests, and documentation. Techniques of analyzing data through reducing data, and presenting data. Based on the results of data analysis obtained 1) students who asked 7.69% in the first cycle increased to 12.82% and in the second cycle to 23.07%. 2) students who answered 12.82% in the first cycle experienced an increase to 20.51% and in the second cycle to 48.71%. 3) students who expressed their opinions 12.82% in the first cycle increased to 15.38% and in the second cycle to 30.76%. 4) students who did assignments 51.28% in the first cycle increased to 61.53% and in the second cycle to 79.48%.
