Abstract

PT. Dan Liris is one of the companies that produce batik motifs in the Sukoharjo region. This research was conducted in the printing division that produces batik motifs with the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method to determine failure modes, severity, occurrence, detection, and knowing the priority risks for each failure mode and Fault Tree Analysis to describe the causes that give rise to the top level event and provide suggestions for improvements through analysis of basic events or vital process parameters (VPP) that cause the top level event. The results of the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method can be found there are 9 failure modes, and 5 failure modes are obtained as the top priority for further analysis. The results of Fault Tree Analysis can be known as basic events at each of the top level events. The results of the analysis on the basic event proposed improvements that can be given are providing training and supervision to operators, improving methods, adding supporting facilities and assistive devices, and using additional sensors in the production process.
