Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Know that Futsal Extracurricular is a permanent program at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 Surakarta. (2) Describe the role of the principal as a manager in improving the quality of futsal extracurricular activities at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 Surakarta. (3) Describe the efforts of the principal in improving the quality of futsal extracurricular activities at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 Surakarta. (4) Describe the obstacles and solutions of school principals in improving the quality of futsal extracurricular activities at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity technique uses source and technique triangulation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) The futsal extracurricular program is a permanent program at Describe the role of the principal as a manager in improving the quality of futsal extracurricular activities at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 Surakarta which has been going on for 7 years and provides many achievements for the school. (2) the role of the principal as a manager has been well implemented by planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating futsal extracurricular activities, (3) the principal's efforts to improve the quality of futsal extracurricular activities by collaborating with sports teachers, providing motivation, providing guidance, seeking training and conduct good supervision. (3) The obstacles faced are limited training time, availability of facilities and infrastructure and lack of costs.
