Abstract

Background Frozen Shoulder is pain due to adhesions of glenohumeral joints that appear spontaneously without the initial cause being known, can also occur due to age, recurrent and postoperative trauma around the shoulder. Objective to determine the management of physiotherapy in reducing pain and increasing the scope of joint motion with infrared modalities and manipulation therapy. Results after 3 times of therapy, the results of silent pain assessment from T0 = 2 to T3 = 1 were obtained, tenderness from T0 = 3 to T3 = 2, motion pain from T0 = 7 to T3 = 5. While the increase in the scope of sagittal joint motion T0 = 35˚- 0˚- 60˚ becomes T3 = 50˚- 0˚- 110˚, frontal T0 = 75˚- 0˚- 15˚ to T3 = 1203- 0˚- 30˚ , rotation T0 = 40˚-0˚-40˚ becomes T3 = 60˚-0˚-60˚. Conclusion: administration of infrared (IR) modalities can reduce pain and for the administration of manipulation therapy can increase the scope of motion of the right shoulder joint in cases of frozen shoulder.
