Abstract

The background of the problem of this research is that there is still a lack of understanding of the teachers in handling the accuracy of the delivery of news texts. This research aims to find out the accuracy of the news text studied based on five categories of accuracy, there are, check and recheck; writing errors; the resources of relevant news; the accuracy of the title with the content; and the accuracy of photos with the content in the material of learning Bahasa Indonesia for VIII students at SMP N 3 Polanharjo. This research is qualitative research type. The results of the news text in the material of learning Bahasa Indonesia for VIII students at SMP N 3 Polanharjo are, as follows: Using the accuracy of Juditha’s content analysis, the result of this research illustrates that the news text in the material of Bahasa Indonesia learning for VIII students at SMP N 3 Polanharjo shows that the teacher lacks of holding on the accuracy in delivering the news texts. It can be seen from the qualitative result studied based on five categories of accuracy, there are, check and recheck; writing errors; the resources of relevant news; the accuracy of the title with the content; and the accuracy of photos with the content. All of the categories indicate that the news text is less accurate.
