Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the principal, the activities carried out by the school, and the character values that emerge from the activities that have been carried out by the school as an effort to build the character of students through the school culture in Nglebak 01 Elementary School. The type and design of this study is descriptive qualitative research. The study was conducted at 01 Nglebak Elementary School. The informant in this study were the principal, class teacher, and parents of students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive models that include data reduction, data presentation and data conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The principal has carried out its function as an innovator, motivator, and collaborator in an effort to build student character through school culture in SD Negeri 01 Nglebak, 2) Activities carried out by the school as an effort to build students' character through school culture In Nglebak 01 Public Elementary School it is divided into routine daily, routine, weekly, monthly routine, annual routine, and annual routine, as well as spontaneous activities, 3) Character values that arise from activities that have been carried out by the school as an effort to build students' character through school culture At 01 Nglebak Public Elementary School has referred to 18 character values designed by the Ministry of National Education.
