Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) Analyzing and testing the effect of Learning Start With A Question and Information Search strategies on learning outcomes. (2) Analyzing and testing the effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes. (3) Analyzing and testing the interaction of learning strategies and learning motivation towards the learning outcomes of mathematics. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi experiment design. The population in the study was all students of class VII of Muhammadiyah Middle School 1 Surakarta, with research samples VII B and VII D. The technique of collecting data used a test model, questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis technique uses two-way variance analysis with cells not the same as the results of the analysis with a significance level of 5%. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be concluded that: (1) There are differences in the influence of Learning Start With a Question (LSQ) and Information Search (IS) learning models on mathematics learning outcomes, where Learning Start With a Question (LSQ) learning models provide more learning outcomes. good compared to the Information Search (IS) learning model. (2) There are differences in the effect of the level of student motivation on learning outcomes in mathematics, students with high motivation levels are better than students with moderate and low motivation levels. (3) There is no interaction effect of the learning model and the level of student motivation on the learning outcomes of mathematics.
