Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior in adolescents today is increasingly worrying. This phenomenon is thought to have a relationship with the pattern of permissive parenting and the low self-control of the teenager. This study aims to determine the relationship between sexual behavior with permissive parenting and self control. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive relationship between permissive parenting and premarital sexual behavior of adolescents, and there is a negative relationship between self-control and premarital sexual behavior of adolescents. The sampling technique of this study is a population study. The method of data collection uses a quantitative approach with a measure of sexual behavior scale, permissive parenting scale, and self-control scale. While data analysis is done by multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis obtained a significance value of p = 0,003 (p≤0,01) which means that there is a very significant relationship between premarital sexual behavior of adolescents with permissive parenting and self control; Sig. (1-tailed) sexual behavior of 0.007 with a permissive parenting correlation value of 0.345 and Sig. (1-tailed) sexual behavior of 0,000 with self-control correlation value -0,467, proving there is a significant positive relationship between premarital sexual behavior of adolescents with permissive parenting and there is a significant negative relationship between premarital sexual behavior of adolescents with self-control. Effective contribution of permissive parenting and self control with sexual behavior is 22.0%.
