Abstract

There are so many problems in the national sugar industry that it becomes a challenge for the national sugar industry. One of the is the sugar industry in Indonecia which is the center of sugar production. The higer level of income of the community, driving higher sugar consumption, while production is still relatively optimal. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence sugar production in Indonesia. The model analysis used in this study Error Correction Model (ECM). This study uses sugar production as the dependent variable, the the independent variables used are Land Area, Sugar cane Production, Sugar cane Rendemen and Labor. The results of the study show that in time series with a period of 30 years, from 1988-2017 the variable Land Area, Sugar cane Production, Sugar cane Rendemen and Labor significantly affected sugar production in Indonesia. Simultaneous test results (Test F) show that Land Area, Sugar cane Production, Sugar cane Rendemen and Labor simultaneously or jointly affect on Sugar Production in Indonesia.
