Abstract

This research aims to determine how the learning outcomes of grade VII students SMP Negeri 1 Sambi even semester 2018/2019 in environmental pollution material through the learning of Jigsaw and Grub investigasion (GI). This research is a type of quantative research with experimental methods. The population in this research is the whole whole of the research subject of Class VII SMP N 1 Sambi, which is a Class VII, which is Grade VII A to class VII G with a total of Keseluruan 224 students with sampling techniques BCS sampling. The samples taken in this study consisted of two classes of VII A and VII E classes with a total of 64 students. The sampling technique used is the Purpose Sampling technique. Data is collected by using a multiple choice of test methods. Data collected and analyzed by inferential statistical analysis techniques (test-t). The results of this study found that there were no significant differences in the results of the IPA model and GI type of learning outcomes of Class VII A and VII E in SMP N 1 sambi (Thitung = 0.796 < This = 1.671). Based on the average results of the Postest Jigsaw model is better compared to the GI model in improving the outcome of SCIENCE class VII on environmental pollution material.
