Abstract

The population in Indonesia, which is increasing and denser every day, makes vacant land more difficult to find. Occupancy is an important necessity for humans, vertical housing provides an effort to overcome the lack of land and settlements in Indonesia, one of which is vertical housing. In Sukoharjo the level of population density is increasing, resulting in a lack of housing units. The best environment is an environment that can prosper children, so that children are friendly to the environment around us. Child-friendly is a development that accommodates a safe and comfortable environment. Most flats do not apply to child-friendly environments, because the bias is that the flat only prioritizes the construction of the building without seeing the welfare aspects of the occupants. This planning and design aims to realize the construction of rusunawa with a child-friendly design concept. With this plan, rusunawa buildings become vertical housing with a friendly approach to children with various factors that guarantee not to ignore children.
