Abstract

This article discusses the politeness of language that occurs in Kick Andy's conversation. Language politeness is very important for everyday life, because when a speaker communicates with opponents, speaking in a language that is polite, speakers will also be respected by opponents of speech. We as Indonesian citizens also have to master polite language, we also have to be smart in positioning our language when communicating with someone so as not to make others offended. The politeness of the language on the Kick Andy program with the theme "My Family My Strength" aims to 1) Describe the language politeness principle used in the Kick Andi program with the theme "My Family My Strength", 2) Describe the politeness of the language used in the Kick Andi program with the theme "My Family My Strength" . The availability of data in this study used qualitative descriptive research. Data collection in this method uses the refer and note method. The results of the study show the language politeness found in the Kick Andy program with the theme "My Family My Strength". The politeness of the language contained in this study includes 1) Maxim of wisdom, 2) Maxim of generosity, 3) Maxim of appreciation, 4) Maxim of simplicity, 5) Maxim of consensus, 6) Maxim of sympathy.
