Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of inflation, interest rate, debt to equity ratio (DER), return on assets (ROA), earnings per share (EPS), firm size, and asset growth to dividend payout ratio (DPR) of companies listed in Jakarta Islamic Index during 2014-2017. This study used explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The research used secondary data from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) which obtained by purposive sampling method and were collected by documentation technique. The samples consist of ten companies which considered based on existing criteria and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that (1) inflation has a negative and insignificant effect on DPR, (2) interest rate has a negative and insignificant effect on DPR, (3) DER has a positive and insignificant effect on DPR, (4) ROA has a positive and significant effect on DPR, (5) firm size has a negative and insignificant effect on DPR, (6) EPS has a positive and significant effect on DPR, (7) asset growth has a negative and significant effect on DPR (8) Inflation, interset rate, DER, ROA, EPS, firm size, and asset growth has an effect on DPR simultaneously.
