Abstract

Buying and selling transactions are activities in fulfilling the family economy. The practice of buying and selling carried out in the midst of the community also experienced many developments. The practice of buying and selling is carried out by the people of Somroto Village, Ponorogo Regency, carried out by means of middlemen facing farmers who want to sell their merchandise to the market. This study outlines how Islamic law concerning the practice of buying and selling Nyegat Prapatan was carried out in Somoroto Village and why it is still carried out until now. This type of research is qualitative. The data used in this study are primary data from direct interviews with middlemen and farmers in Somoroto Village. Secondary data obtained are in the form of books and previous research.Based on the results of research in the field, it can be concluded that the buying and selling practices in the village of Somoroto, Ponorogo Regency, are not permitted because they are contrary to Islamic Shari'a. The reason the people in Somoroto Village still practice the buying process is that the distance factor is far from the market, it has become a habit, and the competition between middlemen is less than in the market.
