Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: (1) Test the contribution of talent interest, class facilitiy, and parental monitoring towards the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Surakarta. (2) Test the contribution of talent interest towards the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Surakarta. (3) Test the contribution of class facility towards the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Surakarta. (4) Test the contribution of parental monitoring towards the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Surakarta. This type of research uses the correlation method, namely quantitative methods. The study was conducted in class VIII Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Surakarta with 156 students as samples using the Slovin formula. Sampling uses proportional random sampling. Data analysis technique using path analysis. Research results, (1) Talent interest, class facility and parental monitoring simultaneously contributed 36.50% to the mathematics learning outcomes through skills in learning with α = 0.05. Talent interest contributes significantly to mathematics learning outcomes, class facility do not contribute significantly to mathematics learning outcomes, parental monitoring contributes significantly to mathematics learning outcomes, and learning skills do not contribute significantly to mathematics learning outcomes. The contribution is either directly or indirectly. (2) Talent interest, class facility, and parental monitoring simultaneously contribute 54.10% towards learning skills with α = 0.05. Talent interest contributes significantly to learning skills, classroom facility contribute significantly to learning skills, and parental monitoring contributes significantly to learning skills.Partially learning skills contribute 23.20% towards mathematics learning outcomes with α = 0.05.
