Abstract

This study aims to describe. 1) the form of expressive speech on the @ridwankamil Instagram account caption. 2) expressive speaking strategy on the caption of the @ridwankamil Instagram account. The subject of this study was political figure Ridwan Kamil, Governor of West Java. The object of this research is all expressive utterances on the caption of the @ridwankamil Instagram account. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques in this study used the technique of listening and note. The data analysis technique uses the intralingual equivalent method. The results of the study indicate that there are 1) forms of expressive speech on the caption of the @ridwankamil Instagram account. Expressive speech thank you 4 data. Expressive speech praises 7 data. Expressive utterances apologizing 2 data. Expressive utterances say 4 data condolences. Hopeful expressive speech 18 data. Expressive speech congratulates 12 data. Expressive expressions of 3 data conflicts. 2) expressive speaking strategy on the @ridwankamil Instagram account caption there are two strategies. The direct narrative strategy has 34 data, and the indirect speaking strategy contains 16 data.
