Abstract
Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation and family environment on interest in becoming a teacher of accounting education students faculty of teacher training and education of Muhammadiyah Surakarta University academic year 2014/2015. This study included quantitative research with surveys using the questionnaire method. The object of this research is the accounting education students faculty of teacher training and education of Muhammadiyah Surakarta University academic year 2014/2015, totaling 222 students with 139 students. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression test, t test, f test, Rtest2, relative and effective contribution. The results of the study using regression analysis obtained a regression equation of: Y = 2,297 + 0,253X1 + 0,366X2. Equations show that interest in becoming a teacher is influenced by learning motivation and family environment. The conclusions taken are: 1) Learning motivation have an effect on acceptable interest in becoming a teacher. This is based on multiple linear regression (t test). It is known that tcount = 5,028 > ttable = 1,978 and a significance value of 0,000 <0.05 with a relative contribution of 53,4% and an effective contribution of 41,1%. 2) Family environment influences the interest in becoming a teacher is acceptable. This is based on multiple linear regression (t test). It is known that tcount = 4,408 > ttable = 1,978 and a significance value of 0,000 <0.05 with a relative contribution of 46,6% and an effective contribution of 35,8%. 3) Learning motivation and family environment influences the interest in becoming a teacher is acceptable. This is based on the analysis of multiple linear regression variants (f test), it is known that fcount = 226,468 > ftable = 3,063 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. 4) The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,769 indicates that the influence of learning motivation and the family environment to the interest in becoming a teacher amounted to 76,9%, while 23,1% are influenced by other variables not examined by the researchers.
