Abstract

Patients with heart failure often experience repeated hospitalization due to recurrence, recurrence can occur because the patient is not adhering to the therapy that has been recommended for example not compliant in treatment. This study aims to determine the description of patients with heart failure in conducting treatment management. This research quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample in this study were 60 heart failure patients obtained by accidental sampling technique. Data collection using instruments (SCHFI's self-care heart failure index) has been modified and tested for validity. Measurement of compliance using a Likert scale. The results showed that non-compliance of heart failure patients in treatment management was still high. It is recommended for health workers to motivate and provide education related to the management of treatment for patients with congestive heart failure so as to prevent symptoms that result in hospitalization.
