Abstract

In Surakarta the cumulative number of HIV/ AIDS cases from 2005 - June 2018 was 641 cases consisting of 260 HIV cases, 381 AIDS cases. The emergence of stigma is due to a lack of community involvement in any HIV/ AIDS prevention and prevention efforts such as health education on HIV/ AIDS. One effort to reduce stigma is HIV/ AIDS prevention and control by forming WPA (Citizens Care for AIDS) in which WPA can report on existing findings, coordinate with the local health center, and gather environmental residents to want to be socialized by HIV and AIDS through existing citizen forums. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between WPA work programs and the stigma and discrimination against ODHA in WPA members in Surakarta. The type of this research observational analytic with cross sectional research design. The degree of trust used 95% and the level of error 5%. This research was conducted on April 15, 2019 until April 27, 2019 in Surakarta. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the WPA work program and the stigma and discrimination against ODHA (pvalue 0.501) in WPA members in Surakarta.
