Abstract

This research aims to examine: (1) the effect of work discipline on teachers performance, (2) the effect of proffesional competence on teachers performance, (3) the effect of work discipline and proffesional competence on teachers performance. The type of this researh is quantitative research and census research desain. Population of this research are 48 teachers of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara, data collection used questionnaire. Techniques for data analyzing are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, R^2, relative contribution, and effective contribution. This research consist of two independent variables: work discipline (X_2) and proffesional competence (X_2), and then teachers performance (Y) as dependent variable. The result of this research was obtained regression equation: Y= 3,394 + 0,849X_1 + 0,973X_2. The regression equation shows that (1) there were positive and significant effect of work discipline on teachers performance that can be seen from beta value (β) equal to 0,849 with significant level 0,003<0,05. (2) There were positive and significant effect of proffesional competence on teachers performance that can be seen from beta value (β) equal to 0,973 with significant level 0,000<0,05. (3) There was significant effect of work discipline and proffesional competence on teachers performance with total effect 25,89% + 36,71% = 62,6% while the remaining 37,4% is effected by other variables that are not examined by researcher.
