Abstract

Occupational health and safety (K3) is an effort to achieve a healthy and safe state in order to avoid the risk of work accidents that are important to be applied to Goyor Weaving SMEs. The making of woven fabric involves the use of chemical Naptol dyes that harm the body. Workers complain of sore eyes, and aches. This study aims to determine occupational health and safety risks, carry out the lowest risk rating to the highest risk and make improvements to reduce the existing risks using the FMECA and TOPSIS methods. The results of the risk assessment using the FMECA method show that there are 5 potential risks with accepted categories and 6 risk potentials with tolerable categories found from the risk sources of Naphthol, heating and workers who do not act properly and safely. From the calculation of the TOPSIS method on 6 potential risks with the tolerated category, the highest RPI value of 0.664 was obtained, namely the position of the body was wrong because of the wrong foot placement technique when weaving. Therefore, to reduce the potential risks that exist, the need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Visual Display and work instructions. Keywords: PPE; FMECA; K3; Risk Potential; TOPSIS.
