Abstract

Abstract Learning activities are not only fixated on the material delivered by the teacher, but it is necessary to have learning motivation that must be possessed in the souls of students. With the motivation to learn, students are expected to be able to improve the learning process because there is an encouragement. The encouragement comes from a teacher in applying interesting learning methods when teaching-learning in class. The method used by the Fiqh teacher is a method of using video critic. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the video critic method in increasing student motivation in class X Fiqh and the subjects are at Klaten Muhammadiyah 1 High School. This study included a type of qualitative research that used field studies at Muhammadiyah 1 High School in Klaten. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation from various schools. The analysis of research using deductive methods, which starts from the theory then ends with a phenomenon. The result of this study are the video critic method could increase the students learning motivation in class X IPA 1 consist of 20 students including 10 male students and 10 female students. It was seen from the students enthusiasm of asking the teacher to display videos and make the students are more active in learning and in submit opinions. On the other hand, students who actively ask or comment will get a reward from the teacher Fiqh subjects. Then the method of video critic applied in class X IPS 1 can also increase the student motivation which consists of 20 students including 7 female students and 13 male students even though there are 1-3 who are less intrigued in learning, but if students who are less intrigued learn not more than half of the students in the class, they can be said that their learning motivation has increased.
