Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the rate of MSMEs financial literacy education in Solo City toward understanding financial literacy, (2) financial management of MSMEs in Solo City, (3) The products and services utilization of financial institution (4) How to improve financial literacy of MSMEs in Solo City to be well literate. Population in this study is MSMEs Solo City of 60 respondents with random questionnaires according to criteria then sample of 36 respondents to be interviewed. Type of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the rate of MSMEs financial literacy in Solo City is sufficient literate category of 74%, (2) the financial management of MSMEs in Solo City has implemented quite well but not in detail such as financial planning, budgeting, recording (3) Most of the MSMEs Solo City have used financial institutions and financial products and the most dominant is banking products, and product EDC machines is low, (4) market managers or government have not socialized financial literacy but only facilitate MSMEs to bringing in financial institutions and OJK have visited the market and holding public financial.
