Abstract

In an electric power distribution system, interference often causes PT PLN to suffer material losses. The factors that influence the occurrence of the disorder are various kinds, both internal and external factors. Distribution systems on the network occur a lot of disturbances including short circuit current interference. An appropriate protection system is needed to deal with the interference that is on the channel. A reliable protection can reduce damage to existing electrical equipment in feeders in the event of a disturbance that is by using OCR (Over Current Relay). Recloser (PBO) is an automatic electrical breaker equipment equipped with electronic control box equipment that can work optimally. This equipment can work when there is a fault current so it will command the operation to open and close the electricity circuit breaker automatically according to the set time. if a short circuit current interruption occurs for a moment then the recloser will close, if there is a permanent disturbance the recloser will remain open after several open times close with the settings that have been made. PLN has many suppliers to provide electricity to consumers. In Jajar feeders rely on a protection system in the form of OCR (Over Current Relay). This study analyzes the relay work time (t) OCR and recloser working time when it occurs on the 20 kV distribution channel at Penyulang 9 GI Jajar. The results of the calculation on the disturbance of 1 soil phase that occurs in kilometer 0 is the biggest disturbance that is equal to 12111 ˚ -90˚ amperes and in the disturbance of 1 soil phase that occurs in kilometer 8 is the smallest interference current which is 1634 34 -76˚ amperes. In order to coordinate between OCR and recloser, on the incoming OCR the working time setting is 0.82 seconds, on the OCR the outgoing time in the working time setting is 0.55 seconds, and the recloser is set to 0.18 seconds. The calculation results show the setting of the relay work time (t) for protection of the disturbance of short circuit currents determined by the location of the relay where the farther away the location of the relay, the smaller the time setting.
