Abstract

Adolescence is a nickname for people in the age range of 10-19 years, a period of rapid growth and development both physically, psychologically and intellectually. Lack of more physical exercise to maintain the body and can cause a decrease in body work activities and cause sedentary behavior in students can result in a decrease in balance and postural control disorders that can lead to the risk of falls and injuries in adolescents. Balance is the ability to maintain the body or center of 2 gravity (COG) in the fulcrum (BOS). Balance is divided into two according to the postural control, namely Static Balance and Dynamic Balance. This study aims to determine the effect of core stability and Balance-Proprioceptive training on static and dynamic balance in adolescents aged 15-18 years. This type of research is experimental with the design of the pre test and post test, comparing the two groups. The sample size was 16 samples of Surakarta MTA high school students aged 15-18 years. The study was conducted for 6 weeks, with measurements using the Stork Stand Test (SST) for static balance and Y Balance Test for dynamic balance. The research data obtained p = 0.997 for the static balance of the right foot and p = 0.562 for the static balance results of the left leg, while the results for the dynamic balance of the right leg were p = 0.094 and left foot = 0.221 means p> 0.05 so Ha was rejected. With this it was concluded that there were no significant differences in the Stork Stand Test (SST) and Y Balance Test values between the Core Stability Exercise and Balance-Proprioceptive exercise groups.
