Abstract

In the construction of a house, sand is the most dominant staple used. If an artisan servant fails to meet the front-line needs based on fine sand, the house building activities will be hampered, because lepan is the main requirement in a house construction. From this, the researchers designed and made sand sieving machines as a tool to separate the gravel and sand from construction workers using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method, a research site located in the Karangmalang Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency. Based on the results of questionnaires with construction workers as respondents and produced 10 attributes of voice of customer data. The results of the questionnaire obtained voice of customers about sand sieving products. After the machine experiment is known, for sieving machines can produce fine sand weighing 122 kg and gravel weighing 28 kg, while using a manual sieve can produce fine sand weighing 42 kg and gravel weighing 20 kg. So it can be concluded that the productivity of the sieving machine is greater than the manual sieve.
