The research method used was qualitative phenomenology whose data was collected through interviews. Data were obtained from 6 informants with the criteria of active students of the Faculty of Psychology in University ofMuhammadiyah Surakarta, active members of an organization for at least 2 periods, having a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50, and willing to become informants by filling out an informed consent sheet. The results of this study indicate that studentsof organization that perform well manage their time by making an activity schedule and dividing time equally between college activities, organizational activities and other activities. They direct themselves as much as possible to achieve achievements by being effective and efficient, where they are able to do tasks with a focus whenever and wherever. The way to do the task is by creating a time table, doing things little by little, focusing on one task, and working with the closest deadlines. They manage their energy and maintain health by eating regularly, exercising and taking enough rest. When they feel tired and bored with their routines, they are able to reinforce and motivate themselves to get excited. Students who are active in organization and have a good grade are also able to maintain a balance between organizaton, family and personal life. Factors that influence self-management are divided into external and internal factors. Internal factors include how one can complete his activities with full responsibility, self-organizing, self-control, self-concept, skills, health, and motivation within oneself. Motivation itself consists of motivation to achieve, have a lot of experience, develop themselves and benefit others. While external factors include social support that comes from family and friends.
